Overview
Background
An existing pair of 54” diameter Reinforced Concrete pipes carrying stormwater underneath Long Cook Rdhad severe joint issuesthat were allowing soil to migrate into the pipe causing sink holes in the roadbed.
Our Solution
Aluminum Ultra Flo pipe with Internal Aluminum Flanged joints was chosen. With its flexible diameter ranges and Manning’s “n” coefficient of 0.012 the pipe was built to a 49.5” I.D. maximizing flow capacity. The Ultra Flo liner pipes were installed in one dayminimizing pump around cost.
